There are few things about these boots that brought to my attention. They are equipped with a vibram sole, super fabric and easy to put on zip closure. The upper is made of high-performance SuperFabric® materials which have some intrinsic performance properties such as abrasion, stain, and slash resistance as well as breathability, quick drying, waterproof exterior and highly durable. Therefore, your boot will not get wet inside out. They are made in the USA.

When these boots arrived on the shelves of our store I have no idea about these boots and I never heard of the brand before. There are few things about these boots that brought to my attention. They are equipped with a vibram sole, SuperFabric® and easy to put on zip closure.

Let's take a closer look at the Vibram sole that is used on these boots.The interesting thing about these Vibram sole on the Altai boots is that it is made of XS work compound. XS WORK compound is High-performance compound for work/service applications Superior grip on wet surfaces. It exceeds EN13287 SRC slip and ISO 20345 material performance requirements. The sole pattern design is Skelton trek outsole which is for hiking and outdoor sports. Therefore, these outsoles are designed for outdoor with professional work grade performance compound.As it is a one piece sole, there is nothing to fall apart like some other sole.

The upper is made of high-performance SuperFabric® materials which have some intrinsic performance properties such as abrasion, stain, and slash resistance as well as breathability, quick drying, waterproof exterior and highly durable. Therefore, your boot will not get wet inside-out. They are made in the USA.

As soon as I got my hand on one of them, I quickly brought them out to the test at our good old Bukit Timah. They don't feel hot at all as they are highly breathable as stated. The outsole grip pretty well on all surface. I tried to climb up to a rocky surface and it is stable.

The most fun part is the water and stain resistance test. I dipped the boot in the wet mud and they come out pretty clean. The exterior of the boot does not absorb any water which means your boot will not get wet outside and become heavier if you walk across the water surfaces or a hike on the raining day.

Fig-03: The boot comes out clean. My right boot is the boot that went into the mud and has not washed yet until now.

I am impressed with this boot for the price point of 199SGD, you get something really good for the money. The brand is not something that is famous in the boots industry but the amount of good quality stuff they put in there on these boots are insane. Altai has been manufacturing SuperFabric® for the past 15 years for the industry. There are a lot of product that we used which has some part made of Altai's SuperFabric®.

I ware them for 12 hr on some days and they are the only boot that does not make my heel pain for standing a long hour at work. Having a side zip makes them my go-to boots for the rushing day.

I would say Altai did a pretty good job on these boots.
