how does a tee shirt save the environment?

Every garment factory produces tons of fabric Scraps. Every clothing that you wear creates tons of fabric wastes. Patagonia has collected those cotton fabric scraps, sorted the colours out, tear them down, and reform them back into fiber that can be reused. Because of that, you don't have to grow a crop and no need to use any of the water, energy, chemical fertilizer and land associated with that. In addition to that, there is no dyeing is needed since the fibers are already dyed with the colours. Combination of these cotton and recycled polyester made from used plastic bottles that usually end up at the landfill.

Reducing the landfill is very important which sit at the end of the product cycle and reducing the industrialized chemical-driven agriculture as important as it sits at the beginning of the production. If we can make a change in these two, things will be a lot better as both are directly damaging the environment and the soil. 

It is also FairTrade certified. Therefore, you know that those people who made your clothing are being paid fairly. FairTrade is very important and we will talk about this separately again. Our buying decision is very important to what happens to the lives at the other end. We don't want to be treated unfairly. So we should not treat others unfairly as well.
